The Body Doctor announces a partnership with Huddersfield Town FC
Making good eyecare a goal for football players and fans
The Body Doctor Ltd, manufacturer of The Eye Doctor range of innovative eyecare products, has announced a new partnership, proudly sponsoring Huddersfield Town Football Club for its next two seasons.
Supporting the local football club is boosting the Huddersfield-based manufacturer’s local and international exposure within the football stadium and beyond.
The sponsorship deal means that the company is highlighting its Eye Doctor range for dry eye disease, Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and blepharitis, and especially its Sterileyes patented antibacterial compresses.
The new partnership is a proud moment for the company founders who have fond memories of the club. The Body Doctor Ltd was set up by entrepreneur Sue Grant and her sons, Sam and Adam Wymer, who both used to sell matchday programmes when they were teenagers.
“We feel that our journey has come full circle now we have teamed up with the club,” explained Sam, The Body Doctor’s Sales and Marketing Director.
“We pride ourselves in being a local family-run business in the heart of West Yorkshire that boasts a thriving business community, and Huddersfield Town Football Club’s values mirror that of our own,” he added.
“They are famous for their ‘Terrier Spirit,’ taking pride in their shirt, showing proper grit and determination and giving everything for their fans and community,” he concluded.
The Eye Doctor range will be visible on LED banners around the pitch, on advertising boards and TV screens around the stadium and within matchday programmes at every home game.
The new partnership is another milestone for the business this year. In spring the company achieved its second Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for its Sterileyes patented antibacterial compresses. The Sterileyes solution is clinically proven to reduce bacteria on the compress by 99.9% and is an integral component of Eye Doctor hot and cold compresses.
The company also achieved a major boost last year when it was granted a patent for the antibacterial shield Sterileyes following five years of research and development with three independent laboratories.
The Body Doctor Ltd aims to raise awareness of eyecare and especially eye hygiene by delivering preventative solutions and treatments for common eye problems. The company is backed by science and supported by experts in the medical field, including TV’s Dr Hilary Jones.
