Since 2004 PHN has published Opchat News which is read by over 7500 opticians plus academia, industry and membership and regulatory bodies as well as a keen interest shown by vision charity groups.

We publish news with 24 hours of receipt from the vision sector.

Joining our portal are 13 LOC sites both secret hidden pages and front facing public websites providing localised LOC information and local practice addresses.

Those LOC members are registered to enter their own site as well as to receive a fortnightly emailed e-news providing @catch-up@ links to all the news items of the previous 4 weeks.

All those working within the Vision Sector can also register to receive the Opchat e-News in the same way by registering for this service.

Opchat News is paid for by our sponsors who have helped us over the years keep it free and without subscription and independent

As well as news we also publish Briefing Papers on Clinical, Business, and Dispensing Issues which remain on the site for future and retrospective reference.

Our new website launched in early 2021 allows us even greater opportunities to become interactive with our members more reactive to news and provide better facilities to our current LOCs as well as expanding that to a greater number of LOCs.

You can send us news about your company, personnel changes and successes, charity drives as well as optical news from industry and academia and the regulators and membership groups. Send word documents and image files to mail@primaryhealthnet.com
