Student Support on lens dispensing from IOT Dispensing Suite
Students at ABDO College will be able to discover more about lens design, thanks to sponsorship from IOT for the new IOT Dispensing Suite.
Carolina Gago, General Manager IOT says, “I have always believed in education as the fundamental vehicle to become the best possible professional. When I become an optometrist, I felt a strong need to continue learning. In my eagerness to find a good academic mentor I decided to talk to one of my best optical professors at the university who had founded IOT. I was not the first one recruited, and certainly not the last. This experience made me value even more the importance of being well prepared and constantly linked to the university and training institutions. For that reason, I feel very proud to collaborate with ABDO College. My personal commitment to students is to provide them with high quality, honest and practical educational content. I have no doubt that it will positively impact their future”.
IOT will be refreshing the room with new educational posters and display materials.
Students will also have supporting materials from IOT and the labs that work with them in the UK.
Dr Robert Cubbidge, principal of ABDO College says, “On behalf of ABDO College I would like to thank IOT for sponsoring the new IOT Dispensing Suite and supporting our students through their optical education. IOT develops innovative lens designs, working with a number of independent laboratory partners around the world. Its support will help to ensure that our students’ knowledge of products remains at the forefront of the latest developments in lens design, enabling them to select the best solutions for their patients.”
IOT is an independent company specialising in the development of ophthalmic lens technology which can be incorporated into own brand products. Through partners over 35 million lenses are produced annually powered by IOT Intelligence.
IOT works in partnership with optical laboratories to provide eyecare professionals with high quality visual solutions for their patients. Through research and development IOT continues to push the boundaries of the geometrical limitations of lens designs through innovative technologies.
