GOC erases Denbighshire based dispensing optician

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Jade Butler, a dispensing optician based in Denbighshire, Wales, from its register.

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found her fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to taking funds from her employer by putting numerous fraudulent refunds onto several of her own credit cards.

Ms Butler has until 29 September 2022 to appeal her erasure.
