GOC erases Newark based dispensing optician

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Dawn Lamb, a dispensing optician based in Newark, from its register.

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found her fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to processing false refund transactions to her personal accounts and amending customers’ telephone numbers to conceal the fraudulent refunds.

Ms Lamb has until 16 February 2023 to appeal against her erasure.
