PEOPLES from Barbados (Pfb) In London

Barbados for People Seasonal colour palette presented in chic new imagery Bridgetown, Barbados – Peoples from Barbados Eyewear brings its unique artisan design and colour palette to London this season in a campaign shot on location in a secret corner of Hampstead Heath, North London.

Optometrist and optical entrepreneur, Alicia Hartman, has close ties and family in the UK and to extend the intimacy, nostalgia and feeling of the Bajan spirit in London, she selected
two models close to her heart: Bajan beauty, Jalicia Nightengale, who has appeared in previous PFB campaigns, and her young UK-based cousin – Lydia Marcy.

The campaign was shot by London-based street photographer David Nyanzi (@davidnyanzi) at an exquisite outdoor location that provided a sensational and natural photographic
backdrop – and a new twist for the Barbados based brand.

‘Peoples from Barbados’ stands for ‘joie de vivre’ and Bajan warmth, a celebration of a lifestyle that extends far beyond the confines of the Caribbean island. Its captivating
contemporary style and authenticity appeals to all ethnicities and ages thanks to the timeless design, carefully finished technical details and brilliant and joyful inspiration and ‘Bajan soul’
– expressed through every design.

“It is an honour to have the Peoples from Barbados collection presented in a campaign from London; I wanted to show off our designs and chic colourways in a place outside Barbados
that I really love….….”

Alicia Hartman, Founder, PEOPLES FROM BARBADOS Produced exclusively in Japan, the PFB eyewear collection offers, style, elegance and technical precision – and a beautiful colour palette that includes classical tones of black and tortoise as well as lush hues inspired by the Caribbean, from “sugar and spice” nude and brown tones to tropical hues of purple and green and versatile black.
