New Essilor/Luxottica North Europe Vice President

EssilorLuxottica has announced the appointment of Franco Ferrante as North Europe Vice President for Professional Solutions (UK&I, Nordics and BeNeLux) starting with immediate effect.

Franco will focus on building a consistent commercial face for eye care professionals while leveraging the expertise and potential of the EssilorLuxottica Group.

Franco has been with Luxottica for 17 years in various senior management roles, most recently looking after North Europe, France and Israel as Regional Director. He holds a MS degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, and a BBA in Economics from SDA Bocconi.

On his appointment, Franco said: “My key focus will be to champion the wholesale channel and support industry growth by reinventing added value within practice to enable our customers to grow.

“Through world leading R&D the newly combined business will continue to innovate and support the market with leading products and services whilst continuing to transform the consumer journey through digitalisation and the in-store experience.

“We believe everyone, everywhere should be able to enjoy the life-changing benefits of vision correction and vision protection.

“Independent ECPs are our strategic partners, and we will keep investing in them to create brand preference and leverage untapped categories such as with Stellest, our latest innovation for myopia control in children.
