Luneau Technology and Optovue Announce Merger
France-based Luneau Technology Group, a provider of wavefront-based diagnostic and finishing solutions, announced it is merging with Optovue.
Terms of the deal were not disclosedby Luneau Technology who announced the information.
Founded by Jay Wei in 2003, Optovue develops high-speed OCT and OCT-A technology to diagnose and manage eye diseases. Dr. Marc Abitbol, CEO of Luneau Technology, will preside over the newly merged company, while Optovue CEO Peter Wyles will join the global leadership team.

Luneau Technology USA recently announced that its new Visionix VX650, a technology with multimodal anterior and posterior segment analysis, is now FDA-approved and available for sale in the United States. ECPs can experience the new product firsthand by requesting a live demo at Luneau Technology’s Vision Expo West booth or by scheduling a virtual demo with a sales specialist. Later this year, Optovue will also be launching a new OCT-A screening device.
