GOC erases Stafford based dispensing optician

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Christopher Parrish, a dispensing optician based in Stafford, from its register.

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to forging a signature, misrepresenting personal expenses as business expenses, and exposing his optical practice to financial loss by providing free spectacles to his family and friends.

Mr Parrish has until 28 December 2022 to appeal his erasure.
