Specsavers renews global subscription to mindfulness app

SPECSAVERS has renewed its global subscription to a mindfulness and mediation app as part of its commitment to colleague wellbeing – and is offering the opportunity for friends and family to benefit as well.

Steven Evans, Specsavers Wellbeing and Inclusion Lead, says its Headspace subscription for support offices, manufacturing and distribution and community practice colleagues has been renewed for two years after positive feedback.

‘As part of Specsavers commitment to supporting our colleagues and their wellbeing, we want to ensure we continue to provide new and existing offerings to keep them feeling positive about their wellbeing. We are also offering thousands of free subscriptions to Headspace to colleagues’ friends and family in the UK,’ says Mr Evans.

‘Across Specsavers, from Canada to Hong Kong and everywhere in between, colleagues are benefitting from better focus and sleep and making use of the mindfulness and meditation courses.

‘In fact, we spent more than three million minutes on Headspace in 2022 – that’s an average of 45 minutes per user per month.’

Headspace offers a wide range of supportive content with Specsavers colleagues praising it as beneficial – with comments including: ‘

The guidance and support have been great – and as a tool to be more at ease with whatever life has to offer.’
