The College of Optometrists publishes first issue of Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics (OPO) with Springer Nature

The College of Optometrists has published its first issue of Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics (OPO), its flagship international and interdisciplinary research journal for contemporary vision science and optometry, with its new publishing partner Springer Nature this month.

OPO is published seven times a year and is available to view online at no charge for College members at Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics (OPO) – College of Optometrists.

The new partnership takes OPO into its second century of publication and underscores the College’s ongoing commitment to research and innovation that supports and advances the optometric profession.

Since the first edition in 1925, OPO has published original research papers, technical notes, reviews, editorials and letters submitted by authors from all around the world. It is read and cited internationally and provides a key resource for optometrists, other eye health clinicians, and educators seeking high quality evidence to support their clinical education and practice, as well as a vital route for clinical and academic researchers to publish their work.
