OSA reminds Optical Practice Assemblers of need to register
OSA reminds of the importance of optical practices who assemble, glaze or resurface spectacles to register with MHRA.
The CEOs of all relevant optical bodies were also supplied with a copy of the guidance, all of whom saw the value in this and wished to promote it to their own members who this primarily affects most.
The full guidance and current information on how to register are available in the links below.
You may wish to share this with your colleagues and at your local LOC so all affected practices are fully informed of the process.

However, the OSA were made aware this month that registrations via MHRA have been problematic for some.
As Optical Suppliers Association (OSA) is now represented at MHRA trade association meetings, their consultant Ann Blackmore has informed them that some guidance for registering is unclear. The MHRA has taken this on board and will investigate and keep OSA updated. They will communicate any findings on this to Opchat News.
