OSA dry eye disease group forms for technology providers
Dry Eye Disease diagnostic and therapy technology providers have formed a specialist OSA and Optic UK group to collaborate and provide optimum support for the profession.
Led by Ross Bailey, SCOPE Eyecare Professional Relations and Partnerships Manager, and Nicola Bennett, Keeler’s Head of Clinical Education, the group is inviting businesses involved in this sector to attend the inaugural online meeting on Tuesday 21 April at 10am*

Clinical advisor to the group is respected dry eye specialist and optometrist Sarah Farrant, who is an international expert in this field as a Tear Film and Ocular Surface ambassador. Also joining the group are representatives from BIB, EssilorLuxottica, Hanson Instruments, Mainline Instruments, Primary Health Net , Rodenstock, and Topcon .
“The demand for Dry Eye Disease care is growing at the fastest rate of any sub-speciality of optics. We now have the means to diagnose and treat every aspect of this, sometimes, debilitating condition. Awareness is key – not just for clinicians but also for the public. This is an important time for device manufacturers to collaborate and ensure the best treatment pathways are defined. The big questions are how do we, as suppliers, drive this forward?” asks the OSA team.
