Optical Assistant training in Scotland
NB: Applications go live on Friday the 14th of January 2022
Applications have now opened for the Scotland Level 5 and 7 Certificates in Optical Care.
Both courses receive generous funding from NES Optometry, so employers need only pay £200 (Level 5) or £250 (level 7) per person, with everything they need included in this small fee, which has been kept the same for yet another year.
Places are strictly limited on a first-come-first-served basis.
Having been offered and supported by NES for a decade, both courses continue to receive excellent feedback from employers and learners.
“Despite the pandemic, we had really good feedback from our 2020 learners and have made several updates and additions to the training materials to make sure that they remain engaging, relevant, and up-to-date” We are extremely pleased to be continuing our partnership with NES”.
Anthony Blackman – Director of training
About the Courses
These courses have been specially designed to give optical assistants the necessary skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care to every patient.
Level 5 is an entry-level qualification, ideal for those who have not studied for a significant length of time, or for those that need a gentle introduction into the world of learning.
Our Level 7 course is slightly more challenging and may be progressed to upon passing Level 5. This is suited to those who have been in optics for at least a year.
