Registration for one of UK’s biggest audiology conferences open
REGISTRATION has opened for one of the UK’s largest audiology conferences – with the meaning of sound set to be discussed.
‘The conference has something for everyone and is open to all, inside and outside of Specsavers, because we are committed to supporting the ear and eye health sectors deliver patient care,’ says Specsavers Gordon Harrison, Director of Professional Advancement – Audiology.
He notes that audiologists, hearing aid dispensers, hearing care assistants – whether qualified or in training – will be attracted by the programme.
‘It features a host of different topics from industry renowned speakers including a keynote session from Professor Sophie Scott of University College London on the meaning of sound and hearing as well as a session from the British Academy of Audiology on the updated referral guidance, an ENT consultant on middle ear pathologies and our hearing aid suppliers.’
Stars of the optics and audiology sectors will also be honoured at the PAC with awards from Specsavers’ founders. The Doug and Dame Mary Perkins Awards recognise clinical excellence and customer care across Specsavers’ community practices in the UK and Ireland.
‘More information this year’s PAC and how to register is available at https://specsaversevents.co.uk/pac/general/home.asp,’ adds Mr Harrison.
