New SPOKE project announced for September start

SPOKE Project Five will be launched in September 2023. This project is titled ‘Developing independence in student optical professionals’

The project will consider how students can best be encouraged and supported to become fully independent practitioners, and what kinds of mentorship and preceptorship might continue to support that journey into roles undertaken as a new registrant.

A “town hall meeting” is planned for October at which the project will be discussed with representatives from across the sector.
