Myopia Management Webinar

Webinar will discuss latest myopia management guidance

The latest BCLA webinar will put myopia management under the microscope, with an expert panel discussing recent guidance issued by the College of Optometrists.

The session is open to all and will be held online at 7pm on Tuesday, 6 September.

Luke Stevens-Burt, chief executive of the BCLA, said: “Myopia management is an increasingly important area of optical practice, given the spiralling prevalence of myopia globally, and has the potential to reshape the role of optometry in public health for the next generation.

“This panel discussion will explore the latest developments in myopia management, especially the recently published guidance by the College of Optometrists. Industry experts and representatives of the major professional bodies will share their views on what clinicians need to know and what they need to do in this emerging field of practice.”

The webinar will be facilitated by Richard Edwards, a clinical consultant to the Optical Consumer Complaints Service. He is joined by panellists: Max Halford, ABDO Clinical Lead, Peter Hampson, AOP Clinical & Professional Director and Dr Paramdeep Bilkhu, clinical adviser to the College of Optometrists.
