Professor Lyndon Jones to speak at CPD Cleadew launch events

Positive Impact (PI) has announced two evening launch events entitled ‘Everything you ever wanted to know about contact lens care but were afraid to ask,’ as part of the launch of its range of Cleadew contact lens care products, which feature the superior disinfection of Povidone-iodine.

The renowned Professor Lyndon Jones is keynote speaker at the CPD events, being held in the Midlands on 4 June and central London on 5 June at 6pm. Professor Lyndon has written over 400 professional papers and a textbook and has given over 1,000 lectures worldwide.

The launch evenings are worth five interactive contact lens points for contact lens opticians and optometrists and two points for dispensing opticians. As well as CPD, attendees with get samples of the whole Cleadew range at the meetings and a start-up stock, worth £115, after the events.

PI Managing Director, Nick Atkins, said: “We are delighted to bring to the UK for a rare appearance this year, one of the leading researchers and experts in the interaction of contact lens materials with their cleaning and disinfecting solutions.

“I believe practitioners underestimate the influence of lens care on the safety and comfort of their contact lens patients and this event is the beginning of an educational initiative to raise awareness of its importance,” he concluded.
