‘It’s good to talk’ – webinar shares top tips for engaging with patients

The latest BCLA webinar will share top tips for engaging with wearers so they can get the best out of contact lenses and really enjoy their lens wear.

Delivered by optometrist and communications expert Sarah Morgan, the webinar will discuss ways of speaking directly with patients to ensure they are getting the most out of their lenses, both in terms of performance and comfort.

The Alcon webinar feature, entitled ‘An audience with contact lens wearers’ will be held at 6.30pm on Wednesday, 16 November.

Sarah Morgan said: “There are so many different types of contact lens wearers, and we have to learn to help them all get the most out of their lens wear – new wearers who are just starting out on their contact lens journey, established wearers and those who once tried and failed.”

Sarah has worked in clinical research at The University of Manchester and continues to lecture and lead clinical sessions, holding the post of Vision Sciences Fellow.

Sarah has lectured internationally across the world and is a Fellow of the BCLA and the American Academy of Optometry. In addition to her work in optometry, Sarah is a professional actress and musical comedian who enjoys creating and editing short films. The Myopia Control Song is an example of this work.

The session is open to all but CPD points are available to BCLA members only. BCLA Members will receive a CPD certificate via email within 10 days of the webinar taking place.
