GOC suspends Peterhead based optometrist from register
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend John Watson, an optometrist based in Peterhead, from its register for two months.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to failing to adequately and/or appropriately record clinical data on multiple occasions.
Mr Watson has until 13 April 2024 to appeal against his suspension.
