GOC suspends Billingham based optometrist
The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to suspend Ross Hutcheson, an optometrist based in Billingham, from its register for 12 months.
A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to failing to carry out adequate eye examinations for several patients.
Mr Hutcheson has until 15 August 2022 to appeal his suspension.
