GOC erases High Wycombe based dispensing optician from register

The General Optical Council (GOC), the UK regulator for optometrists and dispensing opticians, has decided to erase Thomas Dupeyrat, a dispensing optician based in High Wycombe, from its register.

A GOC Fitness to Practise Committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct. This is in relation to undertaking contact lens assessments without the required supervision, failing to maintain adequate patient records, and submitting records that were inaccurate and had not been anonymised to maintain patient confidentiality. The Committee found these actions to be dishonest and misleading.

Mr Dupeyrat has until 27 December 2023 to appeal against his erasure.
