Four new products turn the spotlight on dry eye at show
The Body Doctor launched four new products at 100% Optical, including two in its popular Eye Doctor range, the Advanced Triple Action Eye Spray and the Overnight Relief Eye Drops.
The new Eye Doctor Advanced Triple Action Eye Spray is an advanced lipid-based spray which moisturises severe dry eyes, restoring the ocular surface and strengthening the tear film.
Featuring patented, non-blurring DEMET technology, the spray contains innovative active ingredients including Sachi Inchi Seed Oil, which helps strengthens the lipid layer of the tear film. Trehalose and Glycerol support tear film stability and lubrication, while Dexpanthenol helps moisturise and soothe the delicate skin around the eye.
The London show also saw the launch of The Eye Doctor Overnight Relief Eye Drops which are preservative and phosphate-free for sensitive, long-term use for dry eye relief.
The new drops offer deep hydration, with 0.4 per cent Hyaluronic Acid to lock in moisture overnight. They offer free radical protection with the antioxidant Alpha-lipoic acid and the water-soluble Vitamin E-TPGS working together to fight oxidative stress.
The new drops are formulated for round-the-clock relief but are especially soothing at night when tear production naturally drops.
As well as new Eye Doctor products, the London show also saw the debut of the new ZEST Procedure Kit and the ZEST Aftercare Kit.
The Zocular Eyelid System Technology, ZEST, is an in-practice deep cleansing system using patented Zokrex technology and activated Okra polysaccharide complexes, to optimise eyelid health.
The ZEST Procedure Kit offers an innovative natural approach to eyelid health and includes a ZEST gel pod, two gel-dispensing wells, two swab tips, two Salines to rinse, two non-woven gauze sponges plus a face mask and a drape. In addition are four of The Eye Doctor Biodegradable Eyelid Wipes plus The Eye Doctor Advanced Triple Action Eye Drops.

The Eye Doctor Hypochlorous Eyelid Cleansing Spray and The Eye Doctor Advanced Triple Action Eye Drops.

At 100% Optical live demonstrations on the larger stand saw the welcome return of Dr Peter Pham, inventor of ZEST who really drew in the crowds, especially when TV medic Dr Hilary Jones had the ZEST procedure.
For the first time The Body Doctor also hosted free dedicated ZEST training sessions on the Sunday (March 1). The new training sessions were for clinicians who were either already offering ZEST or were planning to introduce it into their dry eye clinics. Each one-hour event included an introduction to ZEST and a live demonstration. There were also hands-on ZEST breakout groups, plus an open question and answer discussion.
The Body Doctor’s goal was to help practitioners maximise clinical outcomes, streamline their workflow and ensure that ZEST becomes a consistently successful and profitable part of their dry eye services.
Dr Pham also gave a presentation to 30 delegates on the Monday of the show in the Optical Suppliers Association theatre, in collaboration with Hanson Instruments, which included a demonstration of the new ZEST Procedure Kit.
