Essilor/Luxottica show off their Jewels in Central London
Opchat News was invited to attend the double launch of the New Swarovski Brand Collection that they now market and at the same time to invite us to what can only be called the sumptuous surroundings of their new London Base in Kensington.
The second floor of the Kensington Building (opened only a year ago) has been given over to all things Essilor/Luxottica this month. A vast expanse of space showing the amazing brands that the company promotes on luxurious frame cabinets which provide a magical cave of optical delights.
The optical space offers not only every current and incoming frames and sunglass designed and selected by Luxottica but also has the ancillary branded products in sports wear and clothing that we are familiar with from Oakley.
Every frame from every luxury brand is on view, along with just so many current and new Ray-Ban styles both Optical and sun wear plus shades with the new concave front surface lenses (Ray-Ban Reverse) provides a treasure trove of design quality.
Lose yourself in the myriad of open rooms and you will find Essilor’s optical equipment on show as well as a dedicated room for forthcoming CPD events.
Whilst the company’s staff will be sharing their time between Thornbury and their new London Headquarters many will find the trip to London and exciting prospect.
Ok, back to the main event, the Launch of the Swarovski brand, many of the frames bejewelled with replicas of Swarovski bracelet designs or diamante encrusted frames. Don’t panic these are removable for those less glitzy occasions.
The frames mainly emanate from Italy in a plant near Milan as one would expect with the powerhouse of Luxottica based nearby.
These very stylish but wearable frames come with a recommended retail price but on first inspection this allows for a reasonable gross profit for the optical practice and ECPs.
