Register now for ‘Early bird’ prices for BCLA Clinical Conference
Eye care professionals can now take advantage of ‘early bird’ rates and register for this year’s BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition.
The three-day Clinical Conference and Exhibition returns to Manchester Central on 9-11 June and is designed to showcase world class clinically relevant research while nurturing new researchers, clinicians and young academics to present at this level.
Registration for the BCLA’s flagship event is now open, giving delegates the chance to secure their place to hear from keynote speakers including Frank Schaeffel and Dr Gregory Sawyer.
The BCLA Medal Address will be presented by Professor Eric Papas while Dr Sonia Trave-Huarte will deliver the Irving Fatt Memorial Lecture.
Key features of the event, which is the first face-to-face BCLA Clinical Conference to be held since 2019, include dedicated lecture tracks, hands-on workshops and free sessions at the exhibitor pavilion. At least 45 CPD points are expected to be available throughout the three-day conference.
BCLA chief executive Luke Stevens-Burt said: “Having switched to a virtual conference in 2021 due to COVID, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone in real-life once again.
“It promises to be a weekend to remember, featuring a host of passionate speakers who can inspire eye care professionals to make a real difference to patients’ lives and ensure we are ‘always learning’.
“This meeting will deliver the latest innovation and clinical insight, with world class speakers on all areas of contact lenses and ocular surface health presenting lectures, holding live demonstrations and staging a number of practical hands-on workshops showcasing the very latest techniques.
“We will be sharing more details of the programme in due course and we look forward to a really valuable weekend of learning for everyone coming to Manchester.”
A series of social events to be held throughout the conference will give delegates the opportunity to network with fellow eye care professionals.
Early bird registration is now open on all delegate packages with even greater savings for BCLA members. Group discounts are also available for those wishing to book five or more delegate packages. The early bird offer will run until 31 March 2023.
Eye care professionals can submit papers and posters to be considered for inclusion at the conference, with a final submission date of 6 February 2023.
