Call for papers for the BCLA Clinical Conference 2025 open

The BCLA is now accepting paper, poster and workshop submissions for next year’s Clinical Conference – giving eye care professionals the opportunity to share their expertise and knowledge with colleagues from around the world.

A pre-screening deadline has been set for Monday 2 December 2024 while final submissions will be on Monday 3 February 2025.

Authors submitting a paper/poster abstract can also apply for the biennial BCLA Da Vinci award, given to authors with completed projects or practical contributions to the field of contact lenses and/or anterior eye.

The conference will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham from Thursday, 5 June to Saturday, 7 June – aiming to exhibit world-class clinically relevant research while nurturing new clinicians and young academics.

BCLA chief executive Luke Stevens-Burt said: “This meeting will deliver the latest innovation and clinical insight, with world class speakers on all areas of contact lenses and ocular surface health.

“This will be another exceptional three days with the chance to learn, network and celebrate with one another and by submitting papers eye care professionals can be a part of our flagship conference which attracts a truly global audience.

“Delegates will see the very latest innovation that is shaping the eye care profession and will receive expert clinical insight, with live demonstrations, workshops and interactive sessions led by world class speakers in all aspects of contact lenses and ocular surface, as well as the highly anticipated BCLA honours and professional awards.

“We will be sharing full details of the conference programme in due course, and we look forward to receiving high-quality submissions to ensure an enriching experience for everyone joining us in Birmingham next year.”
