Webinar will outline benefits of anterior OCT technology
A new BCLA webinar will outline the impact anterior OCT can have on eye health and how it can benefit everyday practice.
The session will be presented by Danielle Lee and supported by Nicola Bennett of Topcon, who will discuss anterior OCT and its benefits in optometric practice.
Danielle said: “Posterior OCT has been used for many years by many clinicians in the optometry sector for visualising and monitoring changes on many patients. This also has helped to educate patients to why OCT is so important as part of their eye examination.
“This presentation is designed to show how clinicians can extend their use of OCT in clinical practice by using anterior OCT and its benefits for glaucoma, scleral contact lens fittings and dry eye monitoring. This will enhance understanding of the basic principles of anterior OCT imaging and how to apply this to clinical knowledge.”
The webinar forms part of the BCLA’s ongoing education programme for 2022, with a range of online and face-to-face events scheduled to give members access to the very latest learning and technological advances in the field of contact lenses and anterior eye.
The Topcon-sponsored webinar, which is open only to BCLA members, will be held online from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday, 2 March 2022. The webinar is CPD approved.
