Bausch + Lomb confirmed as BCLA partner sponsor
Leading global eye health company Bausch + Lomb has been announced as a partner sponsor for the BCLA.
The sponsorship package will see Bausch + Lomb benefit from a high level of exposure across the BCLA’s flagship Clinical Conference & Exhibition to be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham from Thursday, 5 June to Saturday, 7 June.
The company will also sponsor the BCLA Certificate in Dry Eye Management & Contact Lens Retention, and a number of other learning activities in the BCLA’s broader educational programme.
BCLA chief executive Luke Stevens-Burt said: “We are delighted to have Bausch + Lomb on board as a partner sponsor and we look forward to working together to deliver an exceptional experience to our members and all those joining us at this summer’s BCLA Clinical Conference & Exhibition.
“The support of our industry partners is always appreciated and is essential in helping us to deliver the latest in contact lens research and education to our members, leading to enhanced knowledge for eye care professionals and improved patient outcomes.”
The BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition is designed to showcase world-class clinically relevant research while nurturing new researchers, clinicians and young academics to present at this level.
Eye care professionals attending the conference will be challenged to evolve their day-to-day practice to make it more evidence-based and patient-centric by offering ‘science-informed clinical management’.
Yang Yang, president, Global Vision Care at Bausch + Lomb, said: “We believe collaboration with academia, industry and clinical professionals is key to improving patient outcomes. As a partner sponsor at the 2025 BCLA conference, we look forward to sharing new clinical research and engaging with our peers, as we work to fulfil our mission of helping people see better to live better.”
This year’s conference will see speakers sharing their insights on the latest innovations in clinical practice and discuss advancements in contact lenses, including speciality lenses like scleral lenses and lenses for myopia control, as well as lens care, dry eye, ocular health and anterior eye care.
Confirmed sessions include Prof Philip Morgan delivering a keynote presentation giving ‘a perspective of contact lens wear’, Dr Nick Rumney on ‘detecting and managing anterior eye inflammation’ and Dr Rachel Casemore presenting the Irving Fatt Memorial lecture on ‘Dry Eye Disease in Young Adults: risk factors, clinical signs, and biomarkers’.
