Rodenstock practices gain market insights

Rodenstock’s global product team have joined UK practices to share news of the extension of the multiple award-winning B.I.G EXACT™ Sensitive portfolio which now embraces every aspect of dispensing.

The prestigious Silmo D’Or Lens Product of the Year award and the Optician Award for designs were evaluated by ten UK practices last year.  Some of those practices, and other Key Opinion Leaders, gathered in Bristol for a round table session with the UK and global team.  The mission is to bring the benefits of these lenses to as many consumers as possible.

“The Rodenstock DNEye® Scanner provides the most advanced biometric eye data and individual visual perceptions, which goes beyond the eye to the brain. Combining this data with the B.I.G EXACT Sensitive lenses takes vision back to what many people only experienced as the perfect vision of childhood,” said Jason Halsey, Rodenstock UK Product and Training Manager.

Launched at Opti in Munich, the complete B.I.G. EXACT™ Sensitive portfolio includes lenses for every stage of life –

+Mono single vision lenses for near or distance vision

+Mono+ single vision lenses with an additional near vision reading support for digital life

+Ergo lenses for near and intermediate indoor distances

+Progressive lenses for seamless widefield vision between near, intermediate and far

“Our premium partners know the power of the DNEye scanner and were enthralled to hear about the additional differentiation that we are now bringing to their practices with the extended B.I.G EXACT Sensitive lens portfolio.  The combination of the most precise prescription, biometry, position of wear, and personal perception is unrivalled,” added Jason.

The Key Opinion Leaders were delighted to have a personalised session with the expert team in Germany and to hear about how it worked with the University of Applied Science in Munich to develop and test the lenses’ performance with 47 patients over 6 months.*

Alongside the clear lenses, delegates were keen to hear about the launch of ColorMatic® and ColorMatic Dark® options which are to be available in 1.5, 1.6 and 1.67 indices in B.I.G EXACT Sensitive® with the colour options having been extended to include Smoky Green, Chestnut Brown, Steel Blue and Pilot Green.

Lucy Hunt, Marketing Director of Rodenstock UK, outlined the marketing support which will be provided for partner practices –

“We all know the importance of exceeding the expectations of patients but also to engage others who are dissatisfied with their current lenses. This year we will have three social media ad campaigns, personalised to every practice, with this first to launch 9th February to drive footfall to our partner practices.  We are committed to working closely with practices at every level and our promotional material and eye-catching window vinyls are set to strike up many conversations.
