OutsideClinic’s plans to relocate to a new office in South Marston, Swindon
OutsideClinic, the UK’s largest and fastest-growing provider of home eye and hearing care services, have announced that they will be relocating their headquarters office to South Marston, Swindon, to ensure space for the growing teams across the company.
It follows the acquisition of leading companies in eye and hearing care including Visioncall, the UK’s leading provider of eye care to care homes, Bloom hearing specialists and Care Opticians – boosting OutsideClinic’s capacity and ability to deliver high-quality eye and hearing care in patient’s homes, care homes and sheltered accommodation.
The new location offers 22,000 square feet of light and airy space that allows OutsideClinic to create a revolutionary open-plan environment for colleagues and allows departments to grow alongside the business. With a generous investment the building plans include a modern workspace to offer colleagues an inspiring and collaborative environment while providing the latest technology and comfort to support employee productivity and wellbeing.
The move is set to take place in the spring and will see the move of over 200 colleagues move from the Old Town address to the prominent location in South Marston Industrial Estate. The company has collaborated with head office colleagues by setting up forums and focus groups to deliver collective decisions.
Commenting on the new office space, OutsideClinic’s Joint Venture Partnerships Director, Michelle Peel, said:
“The new head office is a major milestone for OutsideClinic and represents the company’s continued growth and success. It is the start of something new and brings with it the opportunity to introduce new technologies and working practices, which will, in turn, bring about a better working environment for everyone. We are committed to providing colleagues with the best possible working conditions, and we are confident that the new head office will play a key role in creating a healthy workplace that supports every employee’s physical, mental and social well-being.”
The property, set over two floors, will house all head office departments and will be the prime location for the training and development of new optometrists and audiologists who join the business. There will be plenty of space for departments to grow alongside the company and room for well-equipped kitchens, break-out areas for refuelling, training facilities for development and other flexible spaces allocated for wellbeing.
The company’s move is part of its ongoing efforts to stay ahead of the curve in terms of growth and demonstrates its commitment to creating an environment where employees can flourish. It follows a recent rebrand and new website created to better represent the company and its ambition to help more customers than ever in 2023, building on a successful 2022 that saw its growing team of optometrists and audiologists deliver more than 200,000 clinics in various domiciliary environments.
While 460,000 eye tests were conducted in a domiciliary environment in 2020, making it the fastest-growing area of optometry, research indicates that 2.7m people in the UK would actually benefit from such care – with OutsideClinic on a mission to address this gap and ensure that everyone has access to the eye and hearing care they deserve.
To meet this growing demand, the company continues to recruit both optometrists and audiologists across the UK, most recently launching a Joint Venture Partnership Model to provide optometrists with an opportunity to build and run a fully supported domiciliary practice.
