Cutting edge technology meets visionary INSIGHTS AT BIRMINGHAM symposium
Two leading providers in the eye healthcare sector, Optegra Eye Health Care and ZEISS, are pleased to host an exclusive transformative symposium delivering latest knowledge at the forefront of ophthalmic innovation.
The event is open to all optometrists and attendees will secure up to 13 CPD points through varied interactive sessions such as a wet lab to try their hand at laser eye surgery and cataract surgery, peer review sessions on acute referral and independent prescribing, discussion workshops on YAG and biometry.
Registration is now open for the CPD-accredited Optegra and Zeiss Symposium 2024 on Saturday 6 July at Conference Aston in Birmingham, an interactive experience exploring the latest advancements in surgical techniques, diagnostic tools and patient care.
The emphasis of the day is on practical learning through workshops where participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with advanced equipment in the field of cataract, retinal and refractive surgery.
These hands-on workshops, presented by leading experts in the industry, are designed to provide a tangible and immersive experience, allowing the application of theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
Optegra consultant ophthalmic surgeon, Alastair Stuart, will be chairing the panel discussion where three further leading consultants from Optegra will be covering the hottest topics in ophthalmology including advances in cataract and refractive surgery, advances in glaucoma and medical retina, and the role of independent and public sectors in sustainable eye health care.
In addition to the expert panel, delegates will hear from Keynote Speaker Professor Miguel Amaro, a distinguished figure in the field of ophthalmology, who will present about medical retina. Professor Amaro is currently holding positions as the Head of the Retina Unit at Hospital CUF Tejo and Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Hospital CUF Torres Vedra. During his career he has made significant contributions to the landscape of eye care.
