Webinar will help refine approach to diagnosing and managing patients with presbyopia
Wednesday, 10 December. 7pm to 8 pm
An upcoming BCLA webinar will help eye care professionals apply evidence-based strategies to improve the diagnosis and management of presbyopia.
The webinar is being delivered to complement the BCLA CLEAR™ Presbyopia reports and will feature an illustrious panel of speakers including James Wolffsohn, Philip Morgan, Shehzad Naroo and Melissa Barnett.
The speakers will explore evidence-based strategies for fitting and managing presbyopic patients with modern lens designs, with all those attending learning how to accurately diagnose and evaluate presbyopia to optimise visual outcomes while discovering emerging treatments and innovations that address the biomechanics of the aging eye.
BCLA chief executive Brad Parkes said: “Presbyopia is highly prevalent and one of the most significant challenges in contemporary eye care, impacting visual performance, comfort, and quality of life.
“We’re looking forward to an engaging and evidence-based exploration of the latest findings from the BCLA CLEAR™ Presbyopia report, designed to help you refine your approach to managing this common condition.
“This interactive webinar will provide practical guidance on evaluating and diagnosing presbyopia, optimising visual correction strategies, and improving patient communication.
“Our presenters will share key clinical considerations for fitting and aftercare of presbyopic patients using both spectacle and contact lens options, including soft simultaneous, rigid translating, and monovision designs.
“You’ll also gain insight into the latest innovations in presbyopia management, from understanding the biomechanics of the aging eye to exploring novel scleral, pharmacological, and surgical approaches that aim to restore natural visual function.
“Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or newly expanding your presbyopia expertise, this session will provide the tools and knowledge to deliver personalised, evidence-based care and enhance outcomes for every patient.”
