Applications now open for Optical Assistant training in Scotland
Applications go live on Thursday the 12th of January 2023
Applications have now opened for the Scotland Level 5 and 7 Certificates in Optical Care.
Both courses receive generous funding from NES Optometry, so employers need only pay £200 (Level 5) or £250 (level 7) per person, with everything they need to be included in this small fee, which has been kept the same for yet another year.
Places are strictly limited on a first-come-first-served basis to any practice or hospital in Scotland.
The funding from NES Optometry makes this a great opportunity to access training and development for support staff at a very low cost. This will give staff increased knowledge and confidence to deal with patients, which will be a boost to any practice.
“We continue to receive good feedback from our learners and every year we make updates and additions to the training materials to make sure that they remain engaging, relevant, and up-to-date” We are extremely pleased to be continuing our partnership with NES”.
About the Courses
These courses have been specially designed to give optical assistants the necessary skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care to every patient.
Level 5 is an entry-level qualification, ideal for those who have not studied for a significant length of time, or for those that need a gentle introduction to the world of learning.
Our Level 7 course is slightly more challenging and may be progressed to upon passing Level 5. This is suited to those who have been in optics for at least a year.
