Championing eye health and patients at NHS ConfedExpo

Newmedica has underlined its role as an eye health champion and collaborative partner to the health service by attending NHS ConfedExpo 2026 – the UK’s leading health and care event.

The independent ophthalmology provider was the only organisation of its kind with a stand at the Manchester conference, held on 10 and 11 June, which drew thousands of delegates.

Jo Fahey, head of new NHS business at Newmedica, says: ‘NHS ConfedExpo brings together organisations and leaders who are committed to improving patient care, and we’re proud to be part of that conversation – championing eye health and patients.’

The event brought together leaders, clinicians and partners from across the health and care sector, with a shared focus on collaboration, innovation and improving outcomes for patients.

Newmedica saw strong engagement across both days as its conference team spoke with NHS colleagues.

‘It was a great opportunity to talk to NHS colleagues who are on the frontline of healthcare and highlight how Newmedica’s ophthalmology experts help provide access to sight-saving treatment,’ adds Ms Fahey.

‘Events like this help build shared understanding and finding practical ways to work together for the benefit of patients.’

She concludes: ‘As eye health champions, Newmedica has worked with the NHS for many years. We remain committed to a collaborative approach to meet the forecast increase in patient need when it comes to eye health. We have the capacity, the expertise and efficiency to support the health service meet this challenge.’
