Building Confidence in Contact Lens Practice: Webinar for Students & Early Clinicians

We are pleased to invite you to a new educational webinar designed to support students and early-career practitioners as they transition into clinical practice.

We encourage all practitioners, students, and those in the early stages of their careers to attend. Please share this message with your collegues/peers who may benefit from attending – the session is open to all.

“Building Confidence in Contact Lens Practice as a Student and Early Clinician” will take place at 7:00pm on Tuesday, 28 April and will be delivered online.

This hour-long session is our first webinar specifically aimed at newly qualified clinicians and students, and is open to all.

Led by Habeeb Rahman, the session will focus on equipping you with practical tools to strengthen your clinical decision-making and patient communication skills.
As an early clinician, selecting an initial contact lens, assessing fit, and managing patient expectations can feel challenging. This webinar will break these areas down into a clear, structured and accessible approach – helping you reduce uncertainty and build confidence in day-to-day practice.
What you’ll learn:
• A simple framework for selecting and assessing trial lenses
• Strategies to improve patient communication and expectation management
• Practical techniques to support confident early clinical practice

The session will also highlight how increased practitioner confidence can lead to improved patient outcomes, including comfort, compliance and overall satisfaction.

This webinar forms part of the BCLA’s on-going commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education that addresses real-world clinical challenges.
