WCSM welcomes new Master

At the Spectacle Makers’ annual service at St. Bride’s church, the new Master and Wardens were sworn into office.

Michael (Mike) Harris will serve as Master, supported by Fiona Anderson as Upper Warden and David Baker as Renter Warden.

Mike is an independent Optometrist, and ran his own practice in Coventry for more than 40 years.

He has committed to continuing to promote the importance of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in eye health and will place a particular emphasis on the exciting world of optometry during his year as Master.

Senior Past Master Christine Tomkins took the opportunity in Court to thank the now Deputy Master Liz Shilling for her tireless efforts promoting the Company throughout her year, attending 127 engagements to do so, all while continuing her clinical practice.
