GOC, has decided to erase a student dispensing optician based in Plymouth,

Feedback to the 2022 call for evidence showed broad sector support for extending regulation to all businesses providing restricted functions

The General Optical Council , has decided to erase a dispensing optician based in Falkirk, from its register. 

Overall job satisfaction dipped from 62% in 2023 to 58% this year, and dissatisfaction levels increased from 20% in 2023 to 25%.

GOC, has decided to suspend an optometrist based in Helensburgh, Scotland from its register for 12 months.

Kathryn Foreman is a new lay Council member, beginning on 1 October.

The updated qualification will still be subject to the GOC’s routine quality assurance processes
