The OSA joins The Alliance for Healthcare from the Eye

The OSA joins The Alliance for Healthcare from the Eye to support the future of predictive and preventive healthcare

The Optical Suppliers Association (OSA) has joined The Alliance for Healthcare from the Eye, underscoring its commitment to ethical adoption of oculomics and advancing the role of eye health within broader healthcare pathways.

OSA will support the efforts of The Alliance for Healthcare from the Eye to encourage greater collaboration, awareness and understanding across Europe of how non-invasive ocular biomarkers and automated diagnostic technologies can contribute to earlier risk identification, triage, monitoring and more personalised care.

Healthcare from the Eye integrates ocular data with broader health information to support coordinated care pathways and help healthcare systems move from reactive models of treatment towards more predictive and preventive approaches to care.

OSA is pleased to join The Alliance for Healthcare from the Eye at such an important time for our sector. The potential for ocular data and artificial intelligence to support earlier identification of disease risk is significant, and this collaboration reflects our shared commitment to encouraging innovation that is ethical, practical and focused on better outcomes for patients. Together, we can help ensure the optical sector plays a meaningful role in shaping the future of connected, preventive healthcare.
— James Conway, Chairman, Optical Suppliers Association

“We are delighted to welcome the OSA into the Alliance, as we extend our reach to Europe, Middle East and Africa. Bringing together expertise from across the optical supply chain, healthcare, research and policy in Europe is essential if we are to realise the full potential of Healthcare from the Eye globally.   ”
— David Rhew, MD, Chief Medical Officer and VP Healthcare for Microsoft and a founding member of the Alliance for Healthcare from the Eye

This affiliation reflects a shared ambition to support innovation across the optical and healthcare ecosystems and to foster collaboration that benefits practitioners, patients and health systems alike.
