October meeting to announce major OSA news

A major development at the OSA, which will bring significant advances for E-Health interoperability, will be announced at the 16th October meeting in London. As the speed of change in optics advances at great pace, the OSA is poised to ensure that optical businesses are best placed to seize every business and clinical opportunity.

OSA Chair, Roy Stoner, explained “We are positioning UK companies to drive E-Health forwards in optometry and ophthalmology and are aiming to ensure standards exist for businesses, the healthcare providers and patients to gain the greatest benefit. Any optical business which needs to know what is coming down the line should attend the meeting.”

Sustainability

Sustainability will also be high on the agenda with news of the four stages of the Green Charter and advice from those businesses which are in the process of completing the first two levels of accreditation.

One of the UK’s major frame recycling businesses will be at the event to explain how their business approaches waste management sustainably and answer any questions which OSA members might have.

100% Optical & 100% Ophthalmology

Plans for 2025’s 100% Optical & 100% Ophthalmology show and education forum will be announced, highlighting opportunities to use the event’s marketing potential and engage with the greatest number of professionals and practice owners.

The OSA has some 70 members embracing the breadth of the optical supply chain, and the regular meetings are designed to enhance networking, collaboration and setting the highest standards across all aspects of optics.
