ØRGREEN’S NYHAVN Expands with two new styles

When Ørgreen introduced NYHAVN last year, it marked a new direction for the brand. Defined by clean stainless-steel construction and a distinctive mono-colour approach, the collection quickly established its own identity within the Ørgreen universe. Now, building on a strong first year in stores worldwide, NYHAVN expands with two new styles: Seastripe and Tidal Trace.

The additions reflect the growing momentum of the collection and the Danish eyewear’s brand commitment to continuing its development through new shapes and colours.

Achieving that simplicity is more complex than it appears. Each frame combines stainless steel, paint, silicone components and multiple finishing processes, all of which react differently to colour. Creating a truly mono- colour expression, therefore, requires careful development and colour matching across every element of the frame.
“People often think mono- colour is the easy solution. In reality, it can be more demanding because every component has to feel like part of the same object. When it works, the result feels effortless.”
The collection’s colour palette has played an equally important role in its success. Rather than relying on traditional eyewear colours, NYHAVN explores contemporary tones inspired by Copenhagen’s architecture, harbour fronts and the subtle colours shaped by time, weather and light.
“Although NYHAVN is one of our most colourful collections, the colours are softened and understated. They feel lived-in rather than loud. Familiar, but not conventional.”
This balance between simplicity, colour and contemporary design has helped the collection resonate with a broad audience.

With models Seastripe and Tidal Trace, NYHAVN continues to build on its early success.
